Why I would like to become a City Administrator: (IC) Noticing the current lack of a City Administrator, and knowing that my current services as a City Councillor has certainly not gone overlooked, I believe that I am the most suitable for such a role and, if I say so myself, the person most apt to dedicate his time for the role.
(OOC) I have the most experience RPing a City Administrator over any other role in HL2RP, and now that there's a lack of one I believe that I'd be very good at RPing such a role, and I would enjoy it myself.
Experience on HL2RP: I've been on HL2RP for around about 200 horus, as of now.
Example of RP as a City Administrator:
/me Adjusting the speaker placed before him very thouroghly, Kayden sighs, before leaving the speaker as it is. Kayden looks unsatisfied with the position it is in, however.
/me Places both of his arms on the desk, before letting another sigh and quickly adjusting his tie slightly.
/broadcast The speakers around the city crackle to life, and the rather large device in the Plaza ridgidly makes a descent. The monitors come to life, revealing an African American male.
/broadcast Citizens, of the city 17 industrial sector. I am Administrator Joseph Kayden. I have came to address some of the various issues that many of the citizens of City 17 likely believe have been overlooked by us; us councillors.
/broadcast Firstly, I would like to discuss the attitude towards the Police Force in the city. Now, i'm sure this is of no surprise - I have been told in interviews, sent to in letters, in conferances - verbally assaulted in the streets...about the attitude the Police Force takes towards the citizens of City 17.
/broadcast I would like to tell you up front that the Police Force have no intention of oppressing the citizens of City 17. I will discuss what could be described as the bigger issue that leads to such attitudes, and ultimately such impressions, later in this speech, but for now...
/broadcast For now, I would like you all to be informed that the Police Force are simply that - a police force. They are simply there to uphold the regulations needed to keep City 17 a safe and civil society. They are human beings.
/broadcast I am aware that many of the citizens of City 17 may now refer to some of our various re-educations that have occured within the city, so I will have to ask; what do you think would happen, if we didn't not only uphold, but properly enforce the laws of the city? Why; let's just..let's just let us all do as we please! Give everybody a gun and a ziptie; let's see how that goes, eh?
/broadcast And that brings me on to my final point. An MPF died yesterday, as I am sure you're all aware. I would like to address formally, to all 'Anticitizens' who think that..that their gun and ammo is a good way to express their thoughts on the city. Must I remind you that you cannot reproduce? All you are doing is killing other human beings; you aren't hurting the combine. You're hurting mankind.
/broadcast The speakers switch to white noise for a few brief seconds, before switching off. The device in the plaza slowly, and equally rigidly makes it's ascent.
